I was actually quite surprised to find a good Chinese restaurant here. Review based on limited dishes. Oxtail stew, pork chop and rice, and soup dumplings. All really good. Nice thing about the pork chop/rice dish was you get to choose between soup and soda.
Location is near to St. John's gate 5 so it's very convenient. Price was ok. I will come back here next time I'm in Queens. -

I had a great experience eating here on Easter Sunday. Was greeted and seated right away and had a great enjoyable meal.
Being that it's a dumpling legend, I ordered the soup dumplings. I thought the dumplings were very good. It comes 6 pieces to an order. The soup in the dumpling had a surprisingly clear broth. Other dumplings I eaten had a very cloudy or fatty soup in the dumpling.
The beef noodle soup was a little spicy, not to overwhelming and the portion was generous.
I ended the meal with my Oreo cappuccino drink as a dessert. Sweet and tasty.
Credit cards are accepted here. If I were to suggest anything at the restaurant is to maybe play some music in the background.
I would recommend. -

I wanted to try a new place and the menu looked interesting here. I ended up spending over $65 on three dishes and a side and honestly I don't feel any of the food was really worth it. The shrimp and pineapple rice had raisins in it which was weird and honestly kind of gross. I don't even like raisins. I wish they had included that ingredient on the menu because I never would have ordered it.
The chicken satay shouldn't be called chicken satay. May be they meant to say "sauteed" because I've never had it prepared this way. It was super oily. When I say oily there was a pool of oil literally in the chicken. It was also covered in a ton of chopped onions and nothing else.
I got some summer rolls which looked pretty promising but they were actually pretty flavorless. It looked like they put in a decent amount of shrimp until I took a bite and realized each shrimp had been sliced multiple times to make it appear that there was more shrimp inside. The peanut sauce that it came with not sweet enough. It kind of tasted like someone put a spoon full of skippy in a container and called it peanut sauce lol.
My husband got the soft shell crab which was probably the best thing here but even that was pretty bland. Just regularly fried in an average flour coating. Nothing really special about it that made it worth the price. Can anyone suggest an actual decent place? I feel like I have really bad luck with Chinese food. -

They take credit cards.
Wait staff is the same as the old Pho restaurant that use to be here, so eithera change in management or a change in business model took place here.
Really spacious interior with a pretty expansive menu.
Food came out quickly, although the quality wasn't top notch the food was still pretty good.
Skip their shakes though, it is pretty much all powder and ice
Soup dumplings is a disappointment though - definitely supermarket stuff
I'd come here again though, purely out of convenience and the fact that the food wasn't priced horribly
There is metered parking out front or free residential street parking right around the corner. -

There is an order to eating my food and they did not care...
First, hot and sour soup came out for two. It was big to share. Beware... it is peppery with eggs and ginger!
Second, both pork and pork with crab meat came out. In my opinion, I like their pork better than pork with crab meat. Also, if you check in, they give u 1 free pork soup dumpling.
Last, they gave me the beef scallion pancake. Such a disappointment since there wasn't much beef and pancake was not crispy as i like it. In addition, who gives appetizer like this after main course aka soup dumpling?
Honestly I would come here for pho rather than dumpling... altho the new name for this restaurant is dumpling legend (how ironic!).
